Milaan was started by four passionate students from the University of Delhi with objective of promoting access to quality education in rural spaces.
Registered in 2007, in the years since Milaan has reached out to more than 10,000 children and young people through various educational initiatives, life-skills training, employability training, youth empowerment programs, and campaigns.
Their school in a remote place called Kantain (80 km from Lucknow) needed a good infrastructure to cater to the poor kids of neighbouring villages who did not a school in the vicinity.
In 2014, when the construction started, Kishinchand Chellaram Educational Trust supported the setting up of Laboratory, Library, and Computer Centre.
With the help of the Laboratory, Library and Computer centre the school got recognition till Matriculation. From which around 600 students get benefitted every year.
