LOKUMAL KISHINCHAND CHARITY TRUST

The 'Lokumal Kishinchand Charity Trust' was founded in 1980 by Late Bhai Lokumal Kishinchand Chellaram.
Mr. Lokumal Chellaram was the Chairman of the Group for over fifty years from 1951 to 2002 and consolidated and expanded the business empire founded in 1916 by his father Kishinchand Chellaram. Mr Lokumal embodied a blend of inherent entrepreneurship and the noble characteristics of trust in God. He was a rare breed of businessman and philanthropist with an innate capacity to honour life.

The Trust’s logo exemplifies its cause - Charity is a noble gesture that brings happiness to the giver and the recipient and in the belief that one light can in turn light a thousand lamps. Similarly, one act of kindness can benefit thousands. The yellow colour of the logo symbolizes happiness while the orange colour is a token of enthusiasm. The colours reflect the power vested in the act of Charity.
