Shivananda Mission was established in 1981, with aim of expanding the work from health to education, spiritual and other social services. At present Shivananda Mission is managing Eye Hospital-350 beds, Maternity Hospital 14 beds, General Hospital 20 beds, and 16 beds for De-addiction Hospital.
Today Shivananda Mission Eye Hospital is the largest eye hospital of Gujarat state, it has 9 full time eye surgeons, 4 general doctors and 155 para medical staff which is performing more than 20,000 eye operations along with 1.5 lacs O.P.D. every year.
